Ever wonder how GERBER® caem about? In the year 1867, Henri Nestlé, a pharmacist, came across his neighbor’s child who couldn’t breastfeed. Interested in this, he began to conduct a series of experiments to create the world’s first ever-infant food. Several years later, a woman named Dorothy Gerber started to train her 7-month old daughter, Sally, with solid foods. After going through numerous attempts with the help of her husband, GERBER® baby foods began.
